Media Basics is a quarter-long class that aims to introduce the 6th grade students to media, its purposes, and mediums. It also serves as an introductory class to the multimedia program offered in the Middle School, such as computer graphics and video production. The focus of the class is on media literacy, exploring how we communicate with the world, observing and analysing the information that is deliver to us, while learning how to use programs such as Photoshop, iMovie and GarageBand.
